Birdlife abound in this mature garden inspired by Queensland’s tropical islands. Stone pathways wind among thriving species of bromeliads, cordylines and many rare and unusual plants. Bromeliad species number in the hundreds, tillandsias are delightfully displayed, and cordylines and foliage plants make striking accents. Turn the corner and you will come upon a completely different landscape where sun-drenched lawns are enclosed by perennials, salvias and many other hardy cottage garden plants.

The only evidence of a fabulous garden behind the fence when driving along the Beaudesert-Beenleigh Road is the verdant wall of foliage with flourishing trees. It is a surprising hidden paradise for visitors.

Years of collecting has resulted in a diverse garden with Viola’s passion for tropical and cottage gardens fulfilled. Viola’s Patch is a rambling, extensive garden with many surprising features.

The garden has been featured on numerous Television programs including Gardening Australia, The Garden Gurus, Totally Wild and others.
